Lost palace of white snow
Tell me, where did the time go?
I'm sitting here soaking in Day-Glo
And thinking of ways I may know you:
Maybe we'll meet in a valley of vines
Embracing the heat as the sun dines
And maybe we'll dance at the break of the nile
Greeting the future with a generous smile
Now I adorn you
With tinsel, ivy and butter
And slowly call upon you all the strength of another
Maybe we'll meet in the valley of vines
Embracing the heat as the sun dines
And maybe we'll dance at the break of the nile
Greeting the future with a generous smile
Time will not go and time will not follow
It's just waiting to give for tomorrow
We may sleeping, but here comes the alarm
The buildings are chirping, it's time to disarm
Lost palace of white snow
Tell me, where did the time go?
I'm sitting here soaking in Day-Glo
And thinking of ways I may know you:
Maybe we'll meet in a valley of vines
Embracing the heat as the sun dines
And maybe we'll dance at the break of the nile
Greeting the future with a generous smile

I was on a train travelling to Seefeld in Austria and had nothing but the Alps to look over from the windows. This was a perfect compliment to the environment I was in Robert A Johnson

Heard WB on a late BC night. Wow.
Sometimes feels familiar, then "Can't Go Home" pops up as the jewel that says there is more here than you thought! Anthony B Cook

Shane Butler (Quilt) formed a band with his love interest Caity Shaffer and made great indie rock/pop tunes with lyrics that full of art, poetry and complex human emotions. How to choose a favorite track? Goodness, The epic finale, "Takes One To Know One"? The rollicking "Cut To The Quick"? The folky "Common Ground" and "Vital Sign" featuring the swoony, swaying vocals of Caity? So, so many! But I will choose the ever-lovely "Gamblers On A Dime" which I can listen to constantly! If Wooden Shjips traded their sails for a prairie schooner, this is what you might hear them playing around the campfire at night on the Great Plains: homespun country-rock with a hint of psychedelia. Wonderful stuff, from start to finish. neu-mann
